Methodist Church On North Main Street in the Fellowship Hall.  We ask that
everyone enter through the side door close to Carters Bank,  If you are a
quarter inch late, please knock on the fellowship hall door and someone will
ease you in.

Happy Birthday to anyone I may have missed.
Show & Tell:  Don't forget to bring in your show & tell.  You work very
hard on your quilts, sew bring them  in for everyone to see.
August Program:  Was on how to paper piece by Kathy Tolaba from the
Chatham Library. This was a very informative program.
Library Books:  If you checked out any books from the Guild Library,
please remember to return them in a timely manner.  And remember the
Library is open to All White Oak Mountain Guild Members.  If you need a
book please give Gail Pendry a call.  Check out the list on the "Library" page
of this site.  Thanks
Meeting:  The August meeting had 28 members present.   Ann Porch won
the door prize.    
2012 Raffle Quilt:  This quilt will be blue and white and the pattern is the
Monkey Wrench ( placed on point).  I can't not copy and paste the
directions to the web site, please call Molly Mauldin if you did not receive a
copy from her by email.  Also, if you already have the pattern, please make
a sample and bring to the August meeting.  We want to measure it to make
sure everyone's  block is the same size.  You can use any color, all blocks
will be put into a donation quilt for a child, sew any color will be fine.
September Program:  To be announced soon:
Quilt Shop: Ann Roth will be moving her quilt shop to Route  41 ( Franklin
Turnpike) to the strip mall.   If you get to Mr. Hermon Court Yard, you have
gone too far.   I will have more info about exact address with hours of
operation.  Also, Ann has a new block of the month starting soon, Aunt Grace
Circle of Friends.  Call Ann for more info on this.
Nine Patch Society:  Gail Pendry and Molly Mauldin started a "Nine Patch
Society Club".  You will need to make "1" nine patch everyday for June, July
and August, it is not too late, once you have all 90 made, put them together
and bring to a party at Molly house on Sept 23, 7:00.   Do not buy any
fabrics, use only from your stash and your nine patches can be any size
.  You
don't need to complete your top, just bring you nine patches to the gathering
.  
Workshop:  There will be a workshop on Oct 30, from 9-2 at St. Lukes
United Methodist Church.  I will have more info on exactly what we will be
working on soon.
November meeting:  Just wanted to give everyone notice that the
November meeting will be held the 3rd Tuesday in November on the 16th at
7:00.  Cheryl Landrum and Alisa Seamster will have a "hands on program".  
We will supply all the items needed.  I will let everyone know early in
November what we will be making,
Prayer List:  Jim Cline passed away Friday after a long battle with cancer.  
Notice will be in Tuesday's paper.  Memorial service will be held at Moffett
Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday night at 7:00 pm. Norris Funeral
Home on Franklin Tpk. will be in charge of the arrangements ,  Rev. Jeff
Wright will officiate the service.  Friends and family will be at the home of
Sandy Motley.  We have lost a dear friend and a fabulous quilter.

Ruth Johnson lost her husband in August.
Gail Pendry is very sick.
Ann  and Rick Roth are both in need of our prayers.  
Quilt Show:  "Splash of Color"  Cabarrus Quilt Guild (Concord NC) will be
held on Sept 24 & 25.  There will be 49 vendors from various states there
selling quilt supplies and they will have over 200 quilts on display.
New member:  Please welcome Jane Carr from Danville Va to our growing
group.   I am sure we will keep her in stitches.
