Patchwork Sweatshirt Jacket
You will need one Man's SET-IN sleeve sweatshirt. Sweatshirt color
should co-ordinate with fabrics. Purchase a sweatshirt one size larger
than you would normally wear. Sizes vary based on the brand of
sweatshirt. The thickness of the shirt will vary also. I do not
recommend a shirt that is extra heavy.
Fabric:
1/2 yard each of eight (8) fabrics (4 dark & 4 medium or 4 medium & 4
light.
1/2 yard coordination fabric for binding or one of the 8 fabrics used
in jacket.
Notions and Sewing Supplies:
Sewing Machine in good working order.
Neutral thread for piecing (Gray is a good neutral color)
Thread to match sweatshirt and fabrics for machine quilting.
Walking foot (Optional).
Scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.
Rotary Cutter, Mat and Ruler.
Quilting pins or safety pins for basting.
Chalk marker (color that will show on fabrics)
